Card payments, handled by Stripe. Your payment is held in Stripe escrow from the moment you book until you confirm the job is done — the helper is paid out of escrow, never before. We never see or store your card details.
There is no subscription and no membership fee — you only pay when you book a job. If you need to cancel, tell us before the helper starts: at that point the money is still sitting in escrow and has not been paid out to anyone. Write to support@findyouronedayjob.com and we will sort it out with you and the helper.
You get an order confirmation by email as soon as the booking is paid, and every booking stays in your account. If you cannot find it, write to support@findyouronedayjob.com and we will send it again.
Posting a task is free. When you book, you pay the agreed job price plus a 15% service fee, and the helper keeps 85% of the agreed price. On a $100 job that is $115 from you, $85 to the helper, $30 to us. Both parts are charged only when a job is actually completed.
Yes — their identity is. Every One-Day Jober completes Stripe’s identity and bank verification before they can accept paid work. Someone who has not passed cannot be booked at all — that is enforced by the platform, not a promise.
What that does not cover, and we will not pretend otherwise: we do not run criminal background checks, and we do not verify anyone’s insurance. On top of the ID check you get ratings, completed-job history, messaging before you book, and payment held in escrow until you confirm the work. For anything involving your home, your children or your keys, ask for references as well.
