1.1 Before work starts: Customers may cancel any booking free of charge at any time before the Helper has started the work. The full amount held for the Job is refunded (Section 3).
1.2 After work starts: if a Job is cancelled after the Helper has begun, the Helper is entitled to a proportionate amount for the work already performed; the remainder is refunded. Disputes are handled under Section 4.
1.3 Cancellation by the Helper: if a Helper cancels, the Customer receives a full refund. Repeated short-notice cancellations may lead to account restrictions under our Acceptable Use Policy.
If you are a consumer in the EU, you have the right to withdraw from the contract for the use of our Platform within 14 days without giving any reason (§§ 355, 356 BGB / Directive 2011/83/EU).
Withdrawal period: 14 days from the day of the conclusion of the contract (e.g. your registration).
How to withdraw: inform us — Steven Smith, FindYourOneDayJob, Im Oberwald 13, 67661 Kaiserslautern, Germany, info@findyouronedayjob.com — by an unequivocal statement (e.g. email or letter). You may use the model form below, but it is not obligatory. To meet the deadline, it is sufficient to send your communication before the withdrawal period expires.
Effects of withdrawal: we shall reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day we receive your withdrawal, using the same means of payment you used, at no cost to you.
Early expiry for services: if you expressly request that a service (e.g. a booked Job) begins before the end of the withdrawal period and the service is fully performed, the right of withdrawal expires upon full performance (§ 356(4) BGB). If you withdraw after requesting early performance but before completion, you owe a proportionate amount for the services already provided (§ 357a BGB).

Refunds are processed through Stripe to the original payment method. Depending on your bank, the amount is typically visible within 5–10 business days. Platform fees are refunded whenever the underlying payment is fully refunded.
If a Job was not performed, or performed materially different from what was agreed, report it within 72 hours of the scheduled completion via contact or support@findyouronedayjob.com. Payment for disputed Jobs can be withheld while we review. See our Payment Protection Promise for what is covered.
The Platform currently has no paid subscriptions or recurring charges; there is therefore no ongoing contract requiring a separate online cancellation button (§ 356a BGB). Should we introduce subscriptions, a compliant two-step cancellation button will be provided.
